Living with my Partner Megan in Kialla for over 20 years, between us we have 4 children, 3 boys - Zac, Kurtis & Oscar and 1 daughter Kiarna, I must also admit that we are very proud grandparents to Xavier.
I spent most of my youth growing up in Cobram and gained a qualification in turf management before embarking on an overseas European working holiday that was going to be for several months that turned into 3 years. I have worked in Local government for over 15 years in a variety of different roles, predominantly in Parks & Gardens, Recreation, Sports Fields and Facility Maintenace. I also worked with AFL Victoria as a Football Development Manager in the Goulburn Murray region for over 6 years.
I have been very fortunate to play football for several football clubs within the region, I have coached both senior and junior football teams at all levels and in 2024 coached the senior GVL interleague team that managed to beat our archrivals Ovens & Murray league. I currently still run around as a field umpire with the Goulburn Valley Football Umpires Association and hold the role of Junior Vice President on their committee.
In 2024 I ran my first Melbourne Marathon and most importantly finished, I loved it so much I have signed up for the 2025 MM, so if you see me out pounding the pavement at some crazy time, you’ll understand why.
Over the past 20 year whilst living in Kialla I have served as a volunteer with many different sporting associations, Goulburn Murray Junior Football Association 10 years, Goulburn Valley Umpires Association 12 years, GV Giants AFL Masters 4 years, Orrvale School Council, Deakin Reserve Advisory Committee and currently assist Old Students Cricket Club with their cricket wicket preparation.
I love living in this region as it provides so much for myself and the family, fantastic amenities and opportunities for education and sport. Both Megan and I families, all live locally, and I feel that Shepparton is within a couple of hours drive to everything – Melbourne, Mountains and Lakes. Most of all what I love is the people, friendly and welcoming.
